    Assists the Softball Program with coaching, recruiting, and training for athletic

     

    competition at the Division I level with an emphasis on pitching. Adheres to all governing procedures and regulations of the Athletic Department, University, Conference, and the NCAA.

    Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    + Assists in maintaining the recruiting database, organizing both official and unofficial visits.

    + Monitors and coordinates study hall and tutoring sessions in conjunction with the head coach and academic advisor.

    + Works with the head coach and assistant coach to coordinate film and skill specific analytics during games, practice and small group sessions.

    + Coordination and management of home game day operations in conjunction with the marketing staff and event staff to organize bat testing, special events and visiting team accommodations.

    + Coordination of team travel logistics, including flights, accommodations, meals and transportation.

    + Coordination of all camps and clinics.

    + Ensures that all appropriate safety guidelines and standards are maintained.

    + Develops and maintains professional relationships that reflect courtesy, civility, and mutual respect.

    + Builds productive relationships with internal and external constituencies.

    + Commits to organizational improvement by identifying opportunities to improve, recommending possible alternatives for a situation.

    + Other reasonably related duties as assigned by the head coach.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    + Bachelor's degree.

    + Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules and regulations.

    + Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills.

    + Ability to travel normally requiring a valid driver's license.

    + Demonstrated ability to mentor & motivate student-athletes.

    Preferred:

    + Playing and/or coaching experience at the Division 1 level preferred. Emphasis will be placed on candidates with a hitting background.
