Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a dynamic non-profit organization in Fort Worth, Texas. This Contract-to-continuing position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations, ensuring smooth and accurate processing of accounts payable tasks. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile invoices and receipts to ensure proper approvals and accuracy of financial records.

• Assign correct financial classifications and code transactions to appropriate accounts.

• Process vendor payments promptly and maintain compliance with organizational policies.

• Prepare and distribute 1099-Misc tax forms for contract vendors in accordance with regulations.

• Manage and close credit card accounts using the Concur software platform.

• Audit transactions for budgetary alignment and adherence to approval protocols.

• Assist in payroll and timesheet processing to ensure timely employee compensation.

• Generate billing for funding sources related to program services and expenses.

• Perform account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.

• Support general accounting duties as needed to ensure smooth operations. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, including invoice coding and reconciliation.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial tracking and reporting.

• Familiarity with Sage Accounting Software or similar platforms.

• Knowledge of ACH payments and check run processes.

• Ability to manage credit card accounts and related software tools.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Prior experience in a non-profit organization is desirable but not required.
