Temporary Reconciliation Accountant

Duration: 3+ months, with potential extension through end of year

Job Description:

The Temporary Reconciliation Accountant will perform research and analysis to support program or project activities for one or more programs. This role will primarily involve reconciliation tasks in Excel, including 2 reconciliations per account (1 contract and 1 subcontract), and creating invoices in proprietary software based on reconciliation findings. Heavy proficiency in Excel is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

+ Conduct reconciliations in Excel for contract and subcontract accounts.

+ Utilize findings to generate accurate invoices using proprietary software.

+ Perform research and analysis to support program activities.

+ Ensure compliance with government/military contracting regulations and requirements.

+ Prepare, format, and review reports in various formats as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel (including advanced functions like pivot tables and VLOOKUP), and PowerPoint.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Bachelor's degree or higher in finance or a related field.

+ Deep experience in reconciliation processes.

+ Prior experience in a government or military contracting environment is required.

+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data and government regulations preferred.

Desired Qualifications:

+ Experience with preparing, formatting, and reviewing reports of various formats.

+ Familiarity with government contracting procedures and regulations.
