Description

We are looking for an experienced Attorney to join a thriving legal practice in Los Angeles, California. This role focuses on liability and ethics cases, with opportunities to manage cases from inception through trial. Responsibilities:

• Handle legal malpractice and liability cases, ensuring thorough case management from inception through trial.

• Conduct discovery processes, including depositions, to uncover critical case details.

• Draft and argue substantive motions in court to effectively advocate for clients.

• Prepare pleadings and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.

• Represent clients in court appearances, providing confident and informed advocacy.

• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel.

• Collaborate closely with partners and team members to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

• Meet 1850 billable hour requirements, which includes time taken for mentorship, MCLEs, and building client relationships.

• Participate in business development activities to expand the firm’s client base and cultivate new opportunities.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a strong preference for candidates with 7+ years. Attorneys with less years of experience but strong deposition

• Active license to practice law and in good standing with the CA state bar.

• Proven ability to manage cases from inception to trial, including substantive motion practice.

• Experience conducting depositions and handling discovery processes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting motions and briefs.

• Trial experience is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage.
