Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Rogers, Arkansas. In this Contract to Permanent position, you will play a key role in managing the organization’s outgoing payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and expenditures. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with various departments and vendors while contributing to the smooth operation of financial processes.
Responsibilities:
• Review and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization before processing.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Enter invoices into the accounting system and prepare payments via checks, wire transfers, and other methods.
• Schedule and process vendor payments in accordance with agreed terms and deadlines.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions, vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies as necessary.
• Assist in month-end closing activities by preparing reports and journal entries related to accounts payable.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable activities to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as procurement and finance, to facilitate the approval and recording of expenditures.
• Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve payment issues and maintain strong relationships. Requirements • High school diploma required; an associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP, as well as Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, general accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
• Ability to meet deadlines consistently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
