Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Document Processing Clerk to join our team on a Contract-to-Permanent basis in The Woodlands, Texas. In this role, you will handle a variety of legal requests related to customer accounts, ensuring compliance with banking and legal standards. This position requires a strong background in banking, a keen understanding of legal documents, and exceptional organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
• Review and interpret legal orders, such as levies, liens, garnishments, and subpoenas, to ensure accurate comprehension and processing.
• Process and provide branch approvals for legal documentation related to customer accounts and banking transactions while adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
• Prepare and submit official bank responses to legal requests, including notifying customers of actions taken via formal correspondence.
• Manage the intake of legal requests by creating and tracking electronic cases to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including customers, branches, attorneys, and government agencies.
• Conduct thorough research to process account holds, releases, payments, and applicable fees in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure all legal requests meet court deadlines and comply with state regulations, maintaining detailed documentation throughout the process.
• Perform additional job-related tasks or special projects as assigned to support departmental goals. Requirements • A minimum of 1 year of banking experience with demonstrated ability to read and interpret legal documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with SharePoint and banking software applications.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service orientation with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional certifications or relevant training is a plus.
• Experience with case management software, Adobe Acrobat, and familiarity with systems like ACRIS or Cyberbahn is preferred.
