Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Sacramento, California. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to vital financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests with precision to ensure compliance with company policies.

• Reconcile vendor statements and promptly address discrepancies to maintain accurate records.

• Verify invoice approvals and ensure proper documentation before processing payments.

• Prepare and issue customer invoices based on contractual agreements, ensuring timely and accurate billing.

• Post payments to customer accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain account accuracy.

• Monitor aging reports and follow up with customers on overdue balances to ensure timely collections.

• Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances to ensure proper documentation.

• Assist in preparing schedules and journal entries for month-end close processes.

• Support the finance team by gathering required documentation and ensuring deadlines are met during month-end reporting. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related financial roles.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

• Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

• Experience in invoice processing and financial documentation.

• Knowledge of month-end close procedures and related activities.

• Ability to perform account and bank reconciliations effectively.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
