Description We are looking for a dedicated Part Time Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Lima, Ohio. This is a long-term contract opportunity within the healthcare industry, offering a chance to contribute to essential administrative functions supporting patient accounts and billing processes. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment and is comfortable with technology.

Responsibilities:

• Process and scan documents into the imaging system, ensuring accuracy and proper assignment to patient accounts.

• Sort and organize billing statements based on established procedures, maintaining efficiency and attention to detail.

• Manage cash deposits and prepare them for processing, adhering to company protocols.

• Enter patient data and account information into the system, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

• Handle collections processes, including transferring accounts to collections agencies on a monthly basis.

• Perform clerical tasks such as faxing, document organization, and general administrative support.

• Collaborate with team members to address overflow tasks and ensure seamless workflow.

• Use software tools such as Cofax and Brightree to facilitate scanning and data entry.

• Adapt to new system transitions aimed at improving paperless operations.

• Maintain an organized and meticulous work environment, ensuring compliance with company standards. Requirements • Proven experience in medical billing, coding, claims, or collections.

• Proficiency with computer systems and technology, including scanning and data entry tools.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

• Familiarity with software such as Cofax or Brightree is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and ensure smooth processes.

• Business casual attire is required, with jeans allowed but no t-shirts.
