    Description

    Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about accounting operations? Robert Half is partnering with a Coralville-based company to find a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist for a temporary position. This role involves critical accounting functions, including managing company credit card reconciliations, processing invoices, and ensuring vendor communication runs smoothly.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Credit Card Reconciliation & Expense Coding:

    + Reconcile company credit card statements by matching receipts and coding expenses accurately within the system.

    + Working within Excel and the ERP system to create journal entries.

    + Maintain precision and efficiency in this manual, high-detail process.

    + Invoice Processing & Matching:

    + Enter invoices into the system, match them with Purchase Orders (POs) when applicable, and ensure proper expense coding.

    + Reference prior purchase records to ensure consistency in coding practices.

    + Vendor Communication Support:

    + Assist with vendor inquiries via phone or email regarding payment issues or delays.

    Requirements

    Top Skills and Qualifications

     

    + Experience: Demonstrated success in entering and coding invoices.

    + Data Entry Proficiency: High accuracy and speed in data entry tasks.

    + Ability to Thrive in a Fast-Paced Environment: Comfortable managing high volumes of invoices and data entry with tight deadlines.

    Software Experience

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for pulling, coding, and reconciling data.

    + Experience with ERP systems like Navision 18 or Great Plains is preferred but not required.
