Description We are looking for a highly motivated Controller to join our team in Flowery Branch, Georgia. In this long-term contract position, you will oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all accounting processes. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the finance department, including overseeing accounts payable, billing and collections, and payroll processes.
• Supervise the month-end and year-end financial close process, ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts and general ledger analysis.
• Prepare detailed cash flow reports, forecast cash requirements, and manage daily cash operations.
• Develop and implement effective cash management strategies to ensure timely collection of receivables.
• Present comprehensive monthly financial reports to the executive committee and stakeholders.
• Assist in the creation and monitoring of the annual budget and financial forecasts to support organizational planning.
• Evaluate and enhance accounting systems and internal controls to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial issues and provide actionable solutions.
• Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations and oversee the preparation of related filings. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior-level role such as Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or Assistant Controller.
• Proficiency in Rippling Software and Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Strong expertise in account reconciliation, general ledger management, and journal entries.
• Familiarity with sales tax regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to manage both strategic and day-to-day accounting functions.
• Experience collaborating with executive leaders and operational teams to achieve financial objectives.
• Large organization experience is preferred, along with a proven ability to adapt to complex environments.
