Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Recruiter to join our team in Buffalo, New York. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone with a strong background in recruitment and a passion for connecting talented individuals with the right opportunities. As part of our non-profit organization, you will play a vital role in supporting our hiring initiatives and ensuring a seamless recruitment experience.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including posting job openings, sourcing candidates, and conducting interviews.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
• Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other tools to maintain accurate records of candidates and hiring activities.
• Conduct background checks and verify references to ensure candidates meet organizational standards.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of candidates with relevant experience for current and future hiring needs.
• Leverage job boards, social media platforms, and networks to attract top talent.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company hiring policies throughout the recruitment process.
• Assist in organizing career fairs and other recruitment-related events to enhance the organization's visibility.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on recruitment progress and metrics.
• Support onboarding activities by coordinating with HR and other departments.
Requirements • Proven experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR software.
• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with candidates and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of employment laws and best practices in hiring processes.
• Experience with background checks and reference verification.
• Familiarity with recruitment tools such as CareerBuilder, ADP Workforce Now, or similar platforms. TalentMatch®
