Vulnerability Analyst
Responsibilities and Duties:
+ Vulnerability Analyst in support of the Federal Government.
+ This role is hybrid (remote and government site).
+ Thorough understanding of identifying and analyzing vulnerabilities in software, hardware, and systems.
+ Clear understanding of:
+ National Checklist Program (NCP)
+ Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) scoring
+ Common Weakness Enumerations (CWEs)
+ Common Platform Enumeration (CPE)
+ Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs)
Basic Qualifications
+ Education: Associate’s degree, IT industry certification in a platform or applications (e.g., MCSA, MSCE, CCNA, CCNE, SCSA, etc.) or demonstrated work experience in vulnerability analysis. Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 2 years’ general IT experience. OR no college degree and at least 6 years of experience in general IT experience of which 2 years must be specialized experience in vulnerability analysis, incident response, or vulnerability management.
+ This role is suited for an experienced IT professional with a solid foundation – we're looking for a minimum of 5 years of general experience in the field. At least 2 of those years should be specifically focused on cybersecurity disciplines like vulnerability analysis, incident response, or vulnerability management. The ideal candidate will be self-directed and capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy, comfortable working both independently and with minimal oversight. We expect someone who can take the initiative and drive tasks forward with only general guidance.
+ Perform vulnerability data analysis and reporting.
+ In-depth knowledge of industry standard vulnerability scanning toolsets.
+ Be able to prioritize vulnerabilities based on severity and impact.
+ Must also be able to work independently and work well within a team environment.
+ Previous experience working in support of the Federal Government.
+ Citizenship Requirements: U.S. Citizen
Benefits:
+ Pay Range $95,000 - $105,000
+ The Electrosoft Services, Inc. pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary
