Job Description

A packaging operator is responsible for overseeing the packaging process in a manufacturing or production environment. Their primary duties include operating and maintaining packaging machinery, ensuring products are packaged according to company standards, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Below is a typical job description for a packaging operator: Types of machines that will be operated are casepackers, cartoners, baggers, strippers, and palletizers. May be required to operate forklift occassionally.

Desired Skills and Background

+ Knowledge of manufacturing processes and good manufacturing practices (GMP's) preferred.

+ Knowledge of food safety, HACCP and appropriate supporting programs (e.g. cleaning, sanitation, pest management, etc.) is a plus.

+ Previous work experience in production of food manufacturing and a general working knowledge of computers is preferred, but not required.
