Postdoctoral Associate
**Required Qualifications:** (as evidenced by an attached resume)
Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field in hand by the time of the appointment. Strong background in distributed control, optimization, or multi-agent systems. Proven track record of high-quality publications. Proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in resilience analysis for multi-agent systems. Familiarity with communication-constrained algorithm design. Prior work on communication-efficient and information-limited distributed decision making. Experience mentoring graduate or undergraduate students.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Postdoctoral Associate will assist the Principal Investigator Dr. Ji Liu (https://www.stonybrook.edu/commcms/electrical/people/-core\_faculty/liu\_ji) in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (https://www.stonybrook.edu/electrical/) . The incumbent will conduct research and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of Stony Brook University and have strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research on resilient and communication-efficient distributed multi-agent systems.
• Assist in the preparation of research proposals and project reports.
• Mentor junior students in the lab.
• Other duties as assigned, which may include attending Scientific Conferences and Meetings.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
