    Job Description​

    The Nurse Manager of Labor, Postpartum and Newborn Care (LD-PPNBC) at Saint Luke’s East Hospital (SLEH) assumes accountability for the overall planning, coordination, and delivery of services within the assigned departments. There are separate Labor, Postpartum and Newborn Nursery Cost Centers. This role also supports the Lactation team.

     

    The Manager of LD-PPNBC is responsible for utilizing and modeling the Saint Luke’s values of teamwork, excellence, safety, kindness, and respect. The Manager is responsible for the quality and safety of care services as well as the patient experience within the assigned departments. The Manager, in collaboration with the Director, is responsible for stewardship of resources (staffing, space, equipment, and supplies) for the assigned departments including cost center budget management.

     

    The Manager of LD-PPNBC reports to the Director of Patient Care Services supporting the Obstetrics and Neonatal Care Service Line at SLEH. SLEH is supported by a team of managers who work collaboratively with this role, to ensure consistency and equity of processes and resources across the entity.

     

    Working collaboratively with the Medical Staff and the Director, the Manager of LD-PPNBC helps to develop and implement processes and services which support the mission, vision and strategic direction of the service line.

     

    A strong candidate would possess excellent leadership skills, the ability to assess opportunities and to propose innovative solutions independently, have experience in Labor and Postpartum and in risk management, and be a change agent.

    Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)

     

    Bachelor's Degree - Science in Nursing
