Overview

The New York School of Career and Applied Studies (NYSCAS) at Touro University seeks a dedicated faculty member to contribute to the Business and Accounting Department at its main campus in the vibrant 3 Times Square location. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction, engaging in scholarly research and publication, and actively participating in university service. Semesters comprise 15 sessions with a maximum enrollment of 25 students per course. Proficiency in the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) and the Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

Responsibilities

+ Instructional Delivery:

+ Teach four courses per semester (Spring and Fall), accommodating diverse scheduling needs including day, evening, and Sunday classes.

+ Deliver instruction in a hybrid modality, seamlessly integrating in-person classroom teaching with concurrent Zoom sessions.

+ Develop and maintain engaging and effective course materials and assessments.

+ Scholarly Activity:

+ Conduct and disseminate business-relevant research through publications in reputable scholarly and professional journals and books.

+ University Service:

+ Actively participate in university committees and contribute to the broader academic community.

+ Attend and contribute to faculty meetings and engage in the intellectual life of the university.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

+ Master's degree in a relevant field required.

+ Doctorate preferred.

+ Terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D., DBA) in a relevant discipline preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

+ Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively, particularly under pressure.

+ Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, fostering positive working relationships with colleagues and students.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and maturity in diverse social and professional settings.

+ Proven ability to teach effectively in a hybrid learning environment, integrating in-person and online modalities.

Travel

+ Travel may be required to other Touro University campuses within the New York City area.

Working Conditions

+ Instruction will primarily take place at the 3 Times Square campus and via Zoom.

Maximum Salary

USD $82,400.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $65,920.00/Yr.
