YOU MUST BE FOUND QUALIFIED IN BOTH CATEGORIES TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION. 0313 TEACHER, DRAMA: A minimum of 24 semester hours in dramatic arts or a minimum of 9 semester hours in dramatic arts plus sufficient additional course work in English to total at least 30 semester hours is required. A minimum of 12 semester hours in upper level course work in English, communication arts, or drama is required. 0351 TEACHER, MUSIC: A major in music or a minimum of 30 semester hours in music is required. Course work must include one course each in methods of teaching music, methods of vocal music instruction and instrumental music methods instruction. A minimum of 12 semester hours in upper level music course work is required. A second category is not required. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
