    Job Title: Sr. Staff Accountant

    Job Description

    The Sr. Staff Accountant will lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. This role involves performing and reviewing complex account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing activities.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

    + Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies across all financial reporting.

    + Perform and review complex account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing activities.

    + Collaborate with property-level teams to standardize and improve accounting practices and internal controls.

    + Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

    + Provide day-to-day guidance to staff and assist with questions.

    + Act as a team lead by providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to staff.

    + Conduct training for new team members and contribute to the ongoing professional development of the accounting team.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting systems, workflows, and reporting accuracy.

    + Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

    + Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

    + Serve as a liaison between property-level accounting teams and finance leadership.

    + Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

    + Assist Finance Teams with internal and external financial-related audits.

    + Manage and maintain the company’s master vendor list, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procurement policies.

    + Manage cash recycler user access and configurations to support secure and efficient cash operations.

    + Maintain knowledge of industry-specific financial requirements, especially in gaming and hospitality.

    + Occasional travel to other locations to assist or provide on-site training.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

    + 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality, gaming, or resort industry.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

    + Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP and SWS software preferred.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with financial audits.

    + Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    + Excellent analytical skills.

    Work Environment

    This position is 100% in-office with the potential for flexibility once trained. There is an option to work four 10-hour days once trained. The corporate team offers profit sharing, a 3% pay increase yearly, and 80 hours of PTO immediately.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
