Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Fleet Supervisor.
The Fleet Supervisor reports to the Fleet Business Manager. The primary function of this position is to plan, organize, prioritize, and evaluate all vehicle and equipment repairs and maintenance tasks performed by shop personnel to ensure alignment with Divisional goals and objectives. This position manages parts & equipment inventory, approves purchase orders and requests for expenditures related to shop operations, as well as supervises and oversees shop staff.
Some Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Prioritize and assign work according to Division goals, objectives, and safety policies.
+ Review work orders, parts requests, and various written reports and schedules.
+ Inspect and validate work performed by team members.
+ Communicate with management, co-workers, vendors, and other personnel to define acquisition specifications and service levels of vehicles and equipment.
+ Assess costs and determine the need for the disposal of Fleet Vehicles.
+ Supervise staff to include conducting formal performance evaluations, ensure staff is properly trained, ensure employees follow policies and procedures; make hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.

+ High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.);
+ Associates degree (A.S., A.A.) or two-year technical certificate with college-level coursework in related field or equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work;
+ 5 years of full-time experience in the maintenance and repair of automotive/heavy equipment, including 2 years of Lead or Supervisory experience.
+ Valid AZ Driver's License;
+ A thorough knowledge of the methods, materials, equipment, and operation of automotive/diesel repair shops and parts distribution operations;
+ Extensive experience in the practice of maintenance and safety principles related to Maintenance Shop operations and the needs of a wide variety of automotive and mechanical vehicles and equipment;
+ Strong leadership experience and capabilities and knowledge of supervisory principles, practices, and techniques;
+ Effective verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt-ineligible for overtime compensation.
