Job Title: Project/Program Manager I
Job Description
The Project/Program Manager I is responsible for coordinating and completing project/program tasks, overseeing all aspects, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress. The role involves preparing reports for upper management regarding the status of projects. This position typically requires a bachelor's degree and 1-4 years of experience in the field or a related area, with a wide degree of creativity and latitude expected. The manager will lead and direct the work of others, relying on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Responsibilities
+ Design review of projects and ensuring compliance with permitted standards.
+ Ordering and overseeing the installation of shelving through third-party contractors.
+ Ensuring all work meets food health and safety standards.
+ Preparing buildings for operational handover for live product pickup.
+ Overseeing on-site execution and working night shifts (7 PM to 4 AM).
+ Managing third-party labor teams and executing specific phasing plans.
+ Escalating and forecasting potential issues during night work.
+ Maintaining in-depth communication between site operations and senior leadership.
+ Extensive travel within the continental United States, potentially anywhere from Seattle to Florida.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
+ 1-5 years of project management experience.
+ Must live near a major airport/metropolitan city.
+ Ability to read composite/drawings.
+ Proficiency in using computers, Microsoft products, smart sheets, BIM360, Bluebeam, and CAD.
+ Strong communication skills and decision-making ability in high-pressure situations.
+ Willingness to travel 75%.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with financial analysis is a plus.
+ Experience in construction, grocery, or major retail industries.
+ Engineering or construction management background .
Work Environment
This role involves traveling around the US and interacting in a live operational environment with complexities beyond typical grocery stores or retailers. The work schedule includes night shifts from 7 PM to 4 AM, and requires continuous travel Monday through Friday for the duration of the assignment, minus major federal holidays. The Project Manager will gain significant exposure to different shelving brands and manufacturers across the United States. The work environment promotes leadership principles such as bias for action, earning trust, and ownership.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $37.00/hr.
