As a Survey Field Technician, you’ll work hands-on with advanced technologies like GPS, LiDAR, and drones to support critical infrastructure and land development projects. This is a growth-oriented role ideal for professionals ready to deepen their field expertise.Key Responsibilities:Operate total stations, GPS units, data collectors, and digital/automatic levels with confidence.Perform essential survey calculations (e.g., level note reductions, coordinate computations).Interpret site, boundary, highway, and utility plans, including profiles and cross-sections.Maintain and clean survey equipment, including robotic total stations and LiDAR scanners.Assist with equipment loading/unloading and daily vehicle checks.Set up tripods, perform cutting line operations, and support safety/flagging procedures.Contribute to Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) services as needed.What You Bring:High School Diploma or GED.1-4 years of experience as a Survey Field Tech.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Proficiency with standard survey equipment and a willingness to learn new tools.Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., walk/stand for long periods, and work in varied terrain.Strong communication skills and attention to detail.Willingness to travel up to 50%, including multi-day trips.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working outdoors in all weather conditions.Ability to pass a pre-employment physical (U.S. only).Work Environment:This is a field-based role requiring travel across Central Florida, primarily supporting FDOT and other public/private sector projects. Expect a mix of outdoor work and travel by company vehicle or commercial airline, with occasional 2-week assignments.Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
