    Description

    + Assist scientists with experiment design set-up monitoring and data collection for greenhouse laboratory and controlled environment studies.

    + With limited supervision he/she will assist in treatment application planting/processing/disposal of plants/pathogens per USDA guidelines and training of new team members.

    + Be a vital part of daily research activities collecting/recording data and assisting in other tasks to facilitate timely completion of projects.

    + Contribute to maintaining a clean and compliant laboratory greenhouse and/or controlled environment chamber.

    + Attend and participate in group and project meetings. Assist with scheduling and developing complex timelines. Provide timely and frequent communication regarding any updates changes or issues that arise.

    + Ability to work effectively in a multi-project team environment and collaborate with colleagues to achieve goals as well as work independently. May be responsible for leading independent projects.

    + Reports to a manager and works under the guidance of several Scientists. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

    + Performs a variety of tasks and a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

    + BA/BS with 1-2 year of greenhouse and/or laboratory agricultural testing experience preferred. The successful candidate will be meticulous have a strong work ethic be team-oriented and take direction well.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
