Position Overview
This leadership role oversees engineering operations across all production sites, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational excellence. The individual will be accountable for strategic planning, execution, and oversight of engineering initiatives, including capital investments, technical support, and cross-functional collaboration. The role also includes managing a multidisciplinary team of engineers across various specialties.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead and manage engineering initiatives across all facilities, including the evaluation and implementation of advanced technologies and infrastructure.
+ Oversee the full lifecycle of capital projects—from concept and budgeting to execution and post-implementation review.
+ Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships to leverage external expertise and negotiate favorable terms.
+ Establish and refine processes for capital planning, project execution, and operational integration.
+ Monitor project budgets and timelines, ensuring alignment with financial and strategic targets.
+ Assign and supervise project responsibilities, fostering ownership and accountability across teams.
+ Provide mentorship and performance guidance to engineering staff, supporting professional development and succession planning.
+ Collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, and operations teams to resolve technical challenges and drive continuous improvement.
+ Partner with product development teams to support process innovation, equipment upgrades, and new product introductions.
+ Maintain open communication with stakeholders across departments to ensure transparency and alignment.
+ Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and applicable codes.
+ Deliver technical expertise to support operations, including production systems, environmental controls, and regulatory adherence.
+ Manage capital investments related to plant equipment and infrastructure.
+ Ensure availability of documentation, automation tools, and standardized processes to support operational consistency.
+ Champion initiatives in safety, lean manufacturing, and process optimization, aligning engineering efforts with business performance goals.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical background .
+ At least 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or mechanical engineering environment.
+ Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
+ Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and deliver measurable results.
+ Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Preferred experience in food production, thermal processing, or canning operations.
+ Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
