    The person LLC is a premier manufacturer and designer of world-class rotary actuators and automated assembly equipment. We supply high-quality actuator products and automation systems to a diverse range of sectors, including general industry, automotive, and off-road OEMs. We are seeking two contract Controls Engineers to support PLC programming efforts for an ongoing project expected to last until the end of November 2025.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop PLC programming from scratch within the designated platform.

    + Perform offline programming and development, including file importation.

    + Conduct PLC debugging and onsite commissioning.

    + Assist with servo motion control, managing up to 30 axes.

    + Utilize provided references to assist with programming tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 2+ years of experience in from scratch PLC programming.

    + Proficiency in offline work and file importing.

    + Knowledge of Motion Control, Rockwell Motion Control, Allen Bradley Motion Control, Servo Motion, and VFD.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Allen Bradley Kinetix 5700 Servos is a nice-to-have qualification.

    Work Environment

    The work will primarily take place in Berne, IN, with installation and commissioning occurring in Lafayette, IN. The role involves a combination of desk work and time spent on the manufacturing floor. The position operates on 1st shift hours, Monday through Friday.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $57.00/hr.
