    Job Title: Civil Project Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join our Land Development team. In this role, you will be actively involved in all aspects of projects, from the initial design phase through municipal approval processes. You will collaborate closely with the project manager and design team, providing technical expertise and support. Your daily responsibilities will include putting together site plans, creating plan sets, and utilizing Civil 3D and AutoCAD software. Most projects will focus on private land development, with opportunities to work on municipal projects as well.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform a variety of civil, environmental, transportation engineering, site planning, surveying, and landscape architecture tasks under close supervision.

    + Utilize computer and engineering software, with a strong familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

    + Design portions of a project under supervision.

    + Assist in field surveying and construction observation.

    + Research literature catalogs, prepare quantity estimates, and draft reports required for project permits.

    + Attend meetings with project engineers.

    + Execute other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

    + 5+ years of experience in Civil Engineering and Design.

    + 3+ years of experience in Civil 3D Design.

    + Experience in land development projects.

    + Proficiency in grading, utilities design, and roadway designs.

    + EIT or PE certification.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + PE or ability to obtain a license within a year.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is small, team-oriented, and collaborative, with core hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, offering flexibility. The role may involve local travel to job sites as needed. While ideally working from the office daily, a hybrid schedule is available for candidates living over an hour away, requiring office presence 1-2 times a month and daily attendance for the first 3-4 weeks for training. The team offers opportunities for growth and advancement, with potential for moving into project management roles. Compensation is hourly with overtime opportunities, and discretionary bonuses are available once direct, typically around 8% of salary, though not guaranteed.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
