    We are seeking a skilled Color Laboratory Technician to join our team. This role requires expertise in color matching, formulating, and designing various resins, including olefins, engineering resins, glass-filled, and high-heat resins. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a color house, with a preference for those with pellet master batch formulation experience. Candidates with liquid color formulation experience may also be considered with additional training.

    Responsibilities

    + Match colors accurately and formulate designs for various resins.

    + Perform quality control and quality assurance tasks.

    + Conduct laboratory tests and inspections to ensure high standards.

    + Collaborate with production, sales, and customer service teams.

    + Operate small-scale molding machines and weigh small amounts of pigments.

    + Work independently while effectively contributing to team efforts.

    Essential Skills

    + Expertise in color matching and chemistry.

    + Basic math skills.

    + Ability to pass a color test.

    + Operation of small-scale molding machines.

    + Quality control and quality assurance experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + College-level education in polymer science and color theory is preferred.

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience, but 1 year may be considered for a strong candidate.

    + Experience in extrusion and screen printing is beneficial.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in a laboratory setting. The working hours are from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
