    Job Title: Assistant Resident Engineer - Wastewater

    Job Description

    This position is based in Brooklyn and involves assisting the Resident Engineer in overseeing daily construction activities related to wastewater projects. The role requires ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing daily construction activities.

    + Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

    + Monitor and enforce quality control measures through regular inspections and tests.

    + Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to address construction-related issues.

    + Facilitate communication and ensure project milestones are met.

    + Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports and inspection logs.

    + Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges with innovative solutions.

    + Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

    + 5+ years of experience working on large Wastewater Treatment Plant or Industrial size construction projects.

    + Experience in plant operations and NYCDEP projects.

    + Well-rounded experience within Civil/MEP.

    + Understanding of Structural Foundations in WWTP or Industrial projects.

    + EIT certification and on track to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) certification.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + PE certification is highly desirable.

    Work Environment

    This position requires working on the NYCDEP BWT WWTP project with a team of inspectors, field engineers, construction managers, and Resident Engineers. The role is based on-site, five days a week, from 7 AM to 4 PM. The work environment includes a field office on site, providing a collaborative and dynamic setting for project management.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $67.30/hr.
