Job Title: Shop Helper

Job Description

We are seeking a Shop Helper who is flexible and open to working in all areas of metal fabrication. This role involves operating press brakes, punch presses, and general sheet metal fabrication duties. Additionally, candidates will operate riveting machines and pem setters. We are willing to train the right person, even if they have limited experience.

Responsibilities

+ Operate press brake and punch press machines.

+ Perform general sheet metal fabrication duties.

+ Operate riveting machines and pem setters.

+ Package fabricated parts and prepare them for shipping.

+ Ensure each individual product is packaged by the team member who fabricated it.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with spot welding, aluminum, and metal fabrication.

+ Ability to operate press brake and punch press machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 6+ months of manufacturing experience.

+ Willingness to work in multiple areas of metal fabrication.

Work Environment

Work in a smaller shop with about 12 employees, focusing on sheet metal for medical and agricultural storage units. The shop features a large Turret machine, manual machines, small punch presses, and brake presses. We offer a range of mechanical and liquid nitrogen storage products, including vertical and upright freezer racks, laboratory boxes, and more.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
