Job Title: Skilled Construction Carpenter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Construction Carpenter with 1–5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in commercial construction and be proficient in installing doors, door hardware, toilet partitions, and general framing. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team on job sites in Roanoke and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

+ Install doors and door hardware with precision and efficiency.

+ Assemble and install toilet partitions according to specifications.

+ Perform general framing tasks including wood and metal stud framing.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

+ Ensure work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

+ Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Essential Skills

+ 1–5 years of carpentry experience in commercial construction.

+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

+ Ability to read and interpret construction documents.

+ Strong understanding of construction safety practices.

+ Reliable transportation to job sites in Roanoke and surrounding areas.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

+ Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and in various weather conditions.

+ Capable of standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in finish carpentry, rough carpentry, and trim work.

+ Familiarity with cabinetry and new construction processes.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30 pm, with some weekends as needed. The role requires working on various job sites, utilizing both hand and power tools, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
