Job Title: Housekeeper

Job Description

Join our team as a housekeeper where you will be assigned to a specific floor with a checklist to guide your tasks. Your cleaning duties will include maintaining public restrooms, washing sinks and counters, managing garbage disposal, refilling supplies, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, stripping linens from beds, and making beds. You will also be responsible for conveying any patient needs to the medical team and leaving a card with contact information for the Environmental Services department.

Responsibilities

+ Clean public restrooms and wash sinks and counters.

+ Manage garbage disposal and refill supplies.

+ Perform sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming tasks.

+ Strip linens from beds and transport them to the laundry chute.

+ Make beds and perform other cleaning tasks as required.

+ Introduce yourself to patients in occupied rooms and inquire about additional needs.

+ Communicate patient needs to nurses or doctors.

+ Leave a card with contact information for the Environmental Services department.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ No experience required

+ Must be dedicated, punctual, and reliable

+ Ability to lift 50lbs and push 200lbs

+ Comfortable working weekends and locked-down shifts

+ Previous hospital cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

rooms in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment, where walking up to 7 miles a day may be required. The role is physically demanding and requires comfort in being around sick patients, including those with infections or diseases. The position is located at the Hood River location, situated on the hill.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Hood River, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
