    Responsibilities

    + Operate the forklift professionally and accident-free, ensuring precise inspections.

    + Perform systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forklift.

    + Track goods continuously during material handling using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensure accurate data entry.

    + Assist with manual tasks as directed by the warehouse supervisor or team lead, such as sampling, inventory, and cleaning.

    + Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the warehouse.

    + During the seed delivery and return season, ensure proper loading and unloading of transport vehicles with quality packages to meet customer expectations.

    + Maintain safety standards and follow emergency procedures when necessary.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum 1 year of forklift experience.

    + 1 year of warehouse experience.

    + Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.

    + Ability to count accurately when moving inventory.

    + Ability to read scales and work with computers.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Prior forklift certification is preferred.

    + Pass pre-employment screenings.

    + Reliable transportation to the work site.

    + Maintain enthusiasm, good attitude, honesty, and respect towards all.

    Work Environment

     

    Work involves rotating shifts, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, up to 10-12 hours per day. Shift possibilities include Sunday-Thursday and Saturday-Friday, with a 2-3-2 rotation depending on the season, typically from October to April.

    This is a Contract position based out of Woodhull, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
