Suvi is seeking a skilled Software Programmer to support a government program at Fort Detrick, MD. The ideal candidate will work closely with various stakeholders, including system users and administrators, to design, develop, and support software solutions. This is a dynamic role that involves programming, troubleshooting, and participation in Agile development environments.

Position is contingent upon contract award

Responsibilities

+ Collaborate with users and administrators to analyze requirements and develop effective software solutions.

+ Write, test, debug, and maintain code in adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security protocols.

+ Provide web development and support services.

+ Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages including SQL, Java, Python, C#, HTML, .NET, and CSS; familiarity with SQL databases is essential.

+ Apply Agile methodologies or become proficient if not already familiar.

+ Participate in code reviews, problem-solving sessions, and troubleshooting efforts.

+ Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, development frameworks, and tools.

+ Work in a team-oriented environment to ensure timely and budget-conscious project delivery.

+ Attend planning sessions to gather and clarify project requirements and expectations.

+ Ensure the functionality, performance, and efficiency of software systems.

+ Provide technical support to users and address issues as they arise.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or verifiable certifications and experience in software programming.

+ Proven experience in web and software development projects, preferably in a government or defense environment.

+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

+ Experience with Agile development is highly preferred.
