HIRING!!! Military and Defense: Drone Electromechanical Assemblers

Job Description

We are seeking skilled electro-mechanical assemblers to join our team on the **1st shift (7am-3:30pm)** at our military and defense facility located in Santa Ana/Costa Mesa. This position offers **competitive hourly pay** based on experience, with opportunities for overtime during the week and on Saturdays.

Responsibilities

+ Perform mechanical and electrical assemblies in a manufacturing setting, preferably in aerospace, electronics, or medical industries.

+ Utilize common hand and power tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, depth micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, multimeters, test boxes, or specialized test equipment.

+ Proficiently use computers for standard browser and word processing applications.

+ Maintain working knowledge of common electrical components and read wiring diagrams to follow assembly instructions.

+ Adapt rapidly to changing roles and responsibilities in a fast-paced, challenging work environment.

+ Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with engineering and production teams.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 4 years experience in a manufacturing setting performing mechanical and/or electrical assemblies.

+ Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and computer use.

+ Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow assembly instructions.

+ Effective communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in mechanically assembling complex electro-mechanical assemblies, high-quality wire harnesses, test racks, junction boxes, and associated components.

+ Skills in hand soldering and component fabrication.

+ Experience in validating and testing electronic components using multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and test racks.

+ Knowledge of air-frame construction techniques such as rivets, mechanical fasteners, and nut plates.

+ Experience in electronic box assembly troubleshooting and writing detailed issue tickets for failures.

+ Ability to run functional checkouts, tests, and diagnose issues.

+ Experience in testing and running RF systems.

+ PCBA troubleshooting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Costa Mesa, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
