Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

Join our team to work collaboratively with 1-2 others in assembling trailers and heaters based on work instructions and blueprints. You'll primarily focus on building heaters from August through November, while also engaging in sub-assemblies for fans, chassis, enclosures, and engine builds. Your role will involve utilizing hand and power tools and assisting with wiring trailer lights. It is essential to perform all tasks safely, read tape measures accurately, and identify various parts, bolts, and tools.

Responsibilities

+ Assemble trailers and heaters following work instructions and blueprints.

+ Build heaters mainly from August to November.

+ Perform sub-assemblies for fans, chassis, enclosures, and engine builds.

+ Use hand and power tools efficiently.

+ Assist with wiring trailer lights.

+ Read tape measures accurately and identify different parts, bolts, and tools.

+ Troubleshoot and ask questions when something does not seem right.

+ Perform all work safely.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and tape measures.

+ Experience using hand and power tools.

+ Ability to identify different parts, bolts, and tools.

+ 6 months of relevant experience in assembly, construction, automotive, recreational, or farm work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Work Environment

Work in a standard metal shop environment where fabrication and weld/assembly occur in separate sections of the building, and all paint/blast operations are in another building. Expect to be on your feet most of the day in a non-assembly line setup, with 12-15 different trailer models allowing for customization. Work typically involves a team of 2-3 per trailer, with each taking between 40-70 labor hours to complete. The first shift operates from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday, with potential work on Fridays. Uniforms are issued for long-term employees, and additional work hours are available if desired.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, North Dakota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
