    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    Join a dynamic and fast-paced team as a Material Handler at an international precision metal manufacturing company. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the timely delivery and pick-up of materials line-side, maintaining truck wells, organizing pallets, handling cardboard waste, and supporting the production floor.

    Responsibilities

    + Support the production process by moving stock from warehouse locations to the production floor.

    + Maintain the organization of customer containers to and from the production line.

    + Ensure the proper disposal of scrap materials and organization of pallets and cardboard waste.

    + Keep the truck wells clean and organized.

    + Handle miscellaneous duties as assigned, contributing to overall housekeeping.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 2 years warehouse experience.

    + Proficiency in material handling, order picking, and stand-up forklift operation.

    + Experience in shipping/receiving, inventory management, and packaging.

    + Familiarity with RF scanners and pallet jacks.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with stand-up electric forklifts.

    + Possession of a chauffeur's license.

    Work Environment

     

    Work at a state-of-the-art facility with automated tube benders, welder machines, material handling robots, and conveyors. Engage in the manufacturing of metal exhaust systems for automotive manufacturers. The environment is fast-paced but clean, with some areas experiencing consistent loud noises from machinery. Adhere to all PPE and safety requirements, including wearing steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection at all times.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, Michigan.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
