    Description

    Purpose:

    The Payroll Clerk will assist the driver payroll team with daily and weekly tasks.

    Essential Job Functions:

    + Support both lease & company payrolls as needed.

    + Process employment verifications.

    + Take phone calls as needed to assist drivers & staff at CSCs

    + Enter deductions & reimbursements into driver settlements system

    + Enter non-invoice pays into driver settlements system.

    + Evaluate & sort emails daily

    + Generate & send out managers reports

    + Generate Miscellaneous/Reimbursements explanations for accounting

    + Scan payroll back up

    + Generate report for currently owed amounts for accounting

    Additional Responsibilities:

    + Carries out other duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager or as needed.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications for Considerations:

    + High School Education or equivalent

    + Minimum of two years experience in payroll processing preferred

    + Trucking industry experience preferred

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Moderate Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Outlook),strong Excel skills

    + Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

    + Strong organizational and time management skills

    + Self-starter with detail-oriented work habits

    + Able to maintain confidentiality

    + Display professional demeanor

    + Good interpersonal skills; able to work well with wide range of individuals

    + Demonstrate dependability through good attendance, punctuality and adherence to timelines and schedules

    + Knowledge of basic company employment policies and procedures

    + Clear communication skills in dealing with CSC Centers, outside departments, other team members and vendors.

    + Capable of doing general math and analytical problems.

    + Ability to react to change productively and handle essential tasks as assigned

    + Able and willing to continue professional development

    Physical Requirements:

    + Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, and talking, hearing and visual activity.

    + Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds).

    Working conditions:

    + Normal office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copier/printer/scanners.

    Work Schedule:

    + Monday through Friday 7 am to 4 pm
