    Job Description

    Join our team as a Concrete Cutting Laborer in Staten Island, NY, where you will work full-time within the heavy civil construction and infrastructure industry. Our company is renowned for its expertise in precision concrete cutting on large-scale projects such as bridges, highways, and military installations.     Responsibilities

    + Operate concrete saws (wall, slab, wire), core drills, and jackhammers for precision cuts.

    + Read and interpret blueprints and cut sheets.

    + Maintain and select appropriate cutting equipment, blades, and water suppression systems.

    + Perform demolition and removal of concrete sections as directed.

    + Maintain clean and safe work zones in compliance with OSHA and company standards.

    + Assist with rigging, lifting, and material handling as needed.

    + Communicate effectively with foremen, site supervisors, and other trades.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of experience in concrete cutting or heavy civil labor.

    + Proficiency with gas, hydraulic, and electric saws (e.g., Stihl, Husqvarna, Hilti).

    + Familiarity with wet cutting systems and dust control protocols.

    + Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.

    + Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

    + Willingness to travel to job sites across the region.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Strong experience with power tools and construction machinery.

    + General labor and construction skills.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $62000.00/yr.

     

    • Ability to get into Local 472, 731, and 15 with proven work performance

    • Annual 3.5 % Raise

    • Paid medical, vision, dental insurance

    • 401K plan
