    Position Overview

    We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to support operations in a highly automated chicken processing facility. This role is essential to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production equipment in a refrigerated environment. You’ll be part of a team that values safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Monitor and maintain production equipment to ensure optimal performance.

    + Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using hand and power tools.

    + Complete and document work orders accurately.

    + Assist with equipment installations and modifications.

    + Train peers as needed and support team development.

    + Recommend improvements to reduce downtime and enhance productivity.

    + Participate in safety meetings and maintenance trainings.

    + Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    + At least 6 months of industrial maintenance experience.

    + Proficiency with hand and power tools.

    + Ability to read tape measures and industrial blueprints.

    + Basic understanding of electrical components and safety.

    + Strong math and computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).

    + Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment (45–50°F).

    + Ability to lift required weights and stand/walk for 8-hour shifts.

    + Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, or similar equipment.

    + Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

    Preferred:

    + Associate’s degree or higher in Mechatronics, Electrical, Welding, or related fields.

    + Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).

    + Welding experience.

     

    Work Environment

     

    2nd Shift: 2pm - 10:30pm

     

    Overnight: 6pm - 6am: 2,2,3 Shift

     

    This role is based in a highly automated poultry processing facility that operates around the clock. The environment is refrigerated, with temperatures maintained between 45–50°F to ensure product quality and safety. Team members work in a fast-paced setting where attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are critical. The facility features advanced technology and equipment, offering a dynamic and modern workspace for maintenance professionals.

    The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
