Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Co-op to join our R&D team. This is an exciting opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in the design, building, testing, and documentation of very specialized medical device electronics in a highly regulated and collaborative environment.
Essential Functions:
+ Support the design, prototyping, and testing of analog and digital electronic circuits.
+ Assist in schematic capture, PCB layout, and bring-up of new hardware.
+ Perform prototype kitting, building, electrical testing, data collection, and analysis using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, etc.).
+ Document design activities in accordance with quality and regulatory standards (e.g., company SOPs, FDA, ISO 13485).
+ Participate in design reviews, failure analysis, and root cause investigations.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, firmware, and quality engineers.

Qualifications:
+ Currently pursuing a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
+ Completion of at least 2 years of undergraduate coursework.
+ Familiarity with basic analog/digital circuit design principles.
+ Hands-on experience with test equipment and lab work.
+ Proficiency with tools such as Altium is a plus.
+ Exposure to embedded systems or microcontrollers is a plus.
+ Strong communication and documentation skills.
+ Interest in medical devices or regulated industries is preferred.
