Associate Director, Executive and Professional Development

Essential functions (job duties):
Job Purpose
Reporting directly to the Vice Provost for Partnerships and Workforce, the Associate Director, Executive Professional Development (EPD) provides leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction for EPD programs and services. This role is responsible for generating new business leads, developing and managing client relationships, overseeing business development efforts, supervising staff, leading marketing and sales strategies, managing program delivery, and supporting budget planning to ensure the growth, quality, and effectiveness of EPD offerings.
Essential Function

+ Provide leadership and oversight of all EPD programs and services. Identify and generate new business leads and manage the prospect pipeline from initial inquiry to close. Create an enhanced business development plan for EPD, which includes operational plans and quantifiable goals for revenue generation. Oversee direct and indirect marketing and sales to achieve business plan revenue and sales goals. Manage client projects to ensure high levels of client satisfaction, including oversight of proposal development, instructional design, program delivery, and follow-up (25% of the time).
+ Supervise and oversee staff within EPD. Oversee all office operations and develop appropriate processes and procedures to ensure efficient delivery of services. Recruit, hire, train, and direct staff members’ daily activities to ensure accurate and timely service delivery. Manage and develop staff, including providing appropriate feedback and performance reviews (25% of the time).
+ Build partnerships with schools and colleges to support their professional development and continuing education programs and activities. Provide fiscal oversight and assist in budget development (25% of the time).
+ Represent the Vice Provost at external meetings with partners across the community to build engagement and new clientele. Manage current external and internal partnerships relating to EPD (20% of the time).
+ Perform other related duties as assigned (5% of the time).

Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree
+ Master’s degree in business administration, Public Management, or related field.
Experience: Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)
+ Experience in executive education, professional development, or organizational development.
+ Experience in supervising full-time staff and managing a departmental budget.
+ Experience in program design, implementation, and evaluation.
