    What you will do – Essential Responsibilities

    + Accurately and timely code and deposit checks from customer payments

    + Annotate customer accounts with actions taken in company account management system

    + Run, print, assemble, and distribute reports from company account management systems

    + Work with team members, other departments, external vendors, and CarMax stores where necessary to resolve customer questions/issues

    + Perform all of the above timely and accurately in compliance with federal, state, and company guidelines

     

    Maintain and drive efficiency, independently and as a team

That’s where the Customer Accounting and Payment Services (CAPS) team comes in. As a Sr. Clerk, you will contribute to this goal by exercising your impeccable attention to detail – whether it’s data entry, generating reports, filing documents, or more. Because of your natural curiosity, you elevate your concerns when something doesn’t look right. By nature, you’re a team player who can also work independently and you thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

    Qualifications and requirements

    + High school diploma/GED, or an equivalent of 6 months of related experience (required)

    + Basic computer capabilities and proven experience with data entry

    + Strong attention to detail

    + Basic math skills

    + Ability to communicate both in person and by phone with fellow associates and customers
