Salary: $33 / Hour

The School Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a school setting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contracted services. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare Staffing's philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.

+ Provide first aid and emergency care as needed.

+ Monitor and document students' health status and progress.

+ Assist with toileting, first aid, and student mobility around the school campus.

+ Implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions.

+ Collaborate with school staff to create a safe and supportive environment.

+ Educate students and staff on health-related topics.

+ Maintain accurate health records and comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.
