Job Summary:
The Senior Inventory Manager reports to the WMC Supply Chain Application Support Administrator and is responsible for the management of WMCHealth’s mobile inventory system, supporting the maintenance of the ERPs, supporting of the management of the distribution network, including regional inventory locations to ensure the correct stock levels at all locations are at agreed levels of service, regulatory requirements, and customer satisfaction to all new and existing customers. The position is responsible for the maintenance of a common, Network item master and ensuring all items properly align with the EMR and the charge master. The Senior Inventory Manager Supports the Supply Chain Managers with the enhancing their ability to maintain the inventory, materials management and receiving processes for WMCHealth ensuring alignment with the purchasing, procurement and logistics framework.
Responsibilities:
+ Maintains the integrity of a consolidated item master for all ERPs across the Network.
+ Ensures charges are not delayed due to improperly built items across all ERPs.
+ Coordinates with and supports the efforts of the WMC Supply Chain Application Support Administrator on all WMCHealth projects requiring systems interfacing.
+ Provides all necessary support to Supply Chain Managers with the development, implementation and review of an optimal inventory strategy to ensure the appropriate balance of service, quality cost and access are maintained.
+ Develops and implements best of class processes for item master maintianence and aligns item master updates to the contracting teams’ processes, in order to ensure items used are mapped to current VCC approved contracts.
+ Leverages ParEx, and its mobile inventory technology, to: drive department level med/lab cost reductions, to regularly review of PAR inventory levels, to minimize stock holdings at PAR inventory locations, to ensure PAR inventory turnover and to enhance Supply Chain’s utilization of standard processes and procedures, ensuring maximum efficiency and proper stock management.
+ Ensures performance parameters are measured against Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and reports results to AVP, Network Procurement, Operations and Data Integrity.
+ Leads the ongoing improvement for inventory, materials management and receiving processes within WMCHealth.
+ Partners with leadership within Supply Chain to develop and implement demand forecasting to optimize purchasing planning with the warehouse and utilization planning with the Demand Planning and System Procurement leaders.
+ Collaborates with internal and external leaders to ensure efficient and effective customer service and support while ensuring compliance to all internal policies and procedures and external regulations.
+ Leads professional staff to successful outcomes while managing multiple, concurrent projects.
+ Provides logistics and warehousing support to strategic alliances.
+ Performs all other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
Five years of healthcare experience is preferred. Strong aptitude within Cerner, Allscripts, INFOR, ParEx, VueMed and other supply chain systems is a requirement. Evident understanding of materials management inventory concepts, staff motivation, and regulatory standards in a hospital setting. Demonstrated experience in mobile supply chain inventory management, purchasing and item master optimization, and supplier performance management. Knowledge of the regulatory, compliance and policy frameworks applied to the relevant activities.
Education:
Master’s Degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree required.
Licenses / Certifications:
AHRMM CMRP within two years
Other:
Intermediate to advanced excel skills highly preferred.
