Job Description:
The Senior Specialist, S2C Contract Collaboration Hub ( **CCH** ) team will ensure that the Regional GS (Global Services) Procurement Source-to-Contract ( **S2C** ) organization delivers results in support of the Marketing, Research and Clinical Development categories within Global Services, One Procurement and Johnson & Johnson business strategy and objectives. This role works directly with the Sourcing owners, business partners, category leaders, legal counterparts, subject matter experts and the broader function and owns the operational execution of contracting cases, legal escalations and other critical functional activities across Source-to-Contract.
The Senior Specialist within the CCH performs end-to-end contracting activities related to the execution of the organization's strategic sourcing plan, which includes contract drafting, reviewing contract redlines, negotiation of contract terms, contract execution and contract management. The Senior Specialist works to identify and address the needs of internal stakeholders and contribute to improvements of procurement strategies.
This is a seasoned individual contributor, who works independently with minimal supervision and collaborates with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders (e.g., business partners in MedTech and Innovative Medicine, the Global Legal Organization, and various regulatory and compliance subject matter experts).
Key Responsibilities:
+ Performs the day-to-day operations of the S2C Contract Collaboration Hub, including contract drafting, contract negotiation and execution, and stakeholder management activities. Delivers against defined Service Levels.
+ Reviews contract requests and gathers any additional information necessary to select and populate the applicable contract template. Ensures necessary approvals from key internal stakeholders are obtained.
+ Manages the entire contracting process, beginning with analysis of assigned contract requests, drafting, reviewing and managing redlines/draft versions through full execution of highly complex agreement types. Responsible for driving supplier negotiations and engaging the appropriate support as needed.
+ Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory, legal and company policies and procedures.
+ Collaborates with multiple departments in the development and execution of strategies and plans that improve the organizations profitability and competitive position, utilizing market intelligence, risk assessments, and total cost projections.
+ Drives continuous improvements in user experience, effectiveness, and efficiency in assigned area of responsibility.
+ Supports development and implementation of automation and AI (Artificial Intelligence) initiatives within assigned area of responsibility.
+ Creates Value by developing strong, value-added working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers with a view to pro-actively understand and constructively influence their needs and expectations.
+ Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.
Qualifications
Education:
+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent University degree is required.
+ An MBA or further advanced degree is preferred.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
+ At least 3 years of hands-on experience in contract drafting, review, redlining and negotiation
+ 4-6 years of Procurement, Finance, Legal or other pharmaceutical or life sciences relevant business experience.
+ Collaboration, Communication & Influencing Skills: Should be regarded as a constructive player representing Source-to-Contract and overall procurement in various teams within the company and outside. Should have the requisite communication skills to communicate & influence objectives and then develop collaborative relationships both internally and externally to achieve them.
+ Learning Agility & Openness to Change.
+ Fluency in English (written and oral) is required.
Preferred:
+ Pharmaceutical Industry experience is preferred.
+ Possess a general knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical industry regulations and guidelines.
+ Good understanding of Requisition-to-pay and Source-to-settle processes and operations is preferred.
+ Experience in one or more Procurement Functional domains: Sourcing incl. negotiation of commercial and non-commercial terms, Category management, R2P or Accounts Payable.
+ Shared Services Industry experience is preferred.
+ Fluency in one other language (written and oral) for the supported region is preferred.
Other:
+ Requires up to 5% domestic and international travel.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$91,000-$147,200
