    Appointment Requirements:

    - Master's or Specialist-level degree (e.g., MA, MS, Ed.S, or Ph.D.) in School Psychology.

     

    - Valid New York State School Psychologist certification or eligibility.

     

    - Strong understanding of special education laws, including IDEA and Section 504.

     

    - Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

     

    - Proficiency with personal computer, Chromebooks and instructional equipment.

     

    - Background check and fingerprint clearance through Identogo/TEACH (New York State Education Department)

     

    - Approval by the Wilson Board of Education

    Essential Job Functions:

    + Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations.

    + Interpret assessment results and provide clear, actionable recommendations.

    + Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

    + Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student learning and mental health.

    + Support the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework and data-based decision-making.

    + Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in school psychology.

    + Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to special education.

    + Promote a safe and inclusive school environment that supports student success.
