Job Summary
Responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive growth across national, strategic, government, and regional accounts. Builds strong customer and vendor relationships, enhances internal collaboration, and leads cross-functional initiatives to deliver sustainable business results. Champions White Cap’s TRUSTED values by fostering transparency, accountability, and excellence in execution.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
**•** Develops and implements sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share goals.
**•** Leads sales planning, forecasting, and reporting aligned with business objectives.
**•** Manages a team of 8+ associates through clear goal setting, performance monitoring, and coaching.
**•** Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams to drive growth.
**•** Partners with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and consistent customer experience.
**•** Analyzes sales and customer data to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
**•** Oversees the development of sales processes and accountability metrics for national and inside sales associates.
**•** Drives continuous improvement in inside sales operations to enhance efficiency and conversion rates.
**•** Ensures alignment of compensation plans and performance expectations across account types.
**•** Promotes a culture of collaboration, integrity, and customer focus in line with White Cap’s TRUSTED values.
Nature and Scope
+ Solutions require analysis and investigation.
+ Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.
+ Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.
Work Environment
+ Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
+ Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
+ Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.
Education and Experience
+ Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check. Safe driving practices must be consistently maintained while operating a vehicle in the performance of duties on behalf of White Cap.
+ Proven experience in sales strategy, planning, or financial analysis within a complex customer environment.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage direct and indirect reports.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
+ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
+ Experience leading successful partnerships within an organization, sales focus preferred.
+ Knowledge and expertise across a wide varietys of products and channels (eCommerce, Tools, Safety, Rebates, value of procurement consolidation, etc).
+ Progressive experience in sales strategy and planning, financial planning and analysis, management consulting, or related experience within a similar customer base.
