    Job Description

    The Revenue Control Specialist I is responsible for applying internal control processes to receivables for multiple ArcBest companies.

    Responsibilities

    * Apply and balance payments received from customers timely and accurately.

    * Report daily cash figures.

    * Correct misapplied payments and process intercompany transfers.

    * Process refunds to customers for overpayments.

    * Handle returned refund checks.

    * Reset archived pros due to corrections or claims.

    * Handle daily and monthly balancing reports.

    * Review and approve revenue reduction requests.

    * Adjust receivables manually, when needed.

    * Resolve issues with internal and external customers.

    * Maintain a positive attitude and high level of customer service with both internal and external customers.

    * Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.

    * Other duties and projects, as assigned.

    Requirements

    Education:

    * Bachelor's Degree, preferred

    * Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

    Experience:

    * Prior experience in freight receivables and invoicing, preferred

    Computer Skills:

    * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with a focus in Excel. Proficient in Ten Key.

    Other Details

    Work Hours:

    * Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.

    Compensation:

    * This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
