    Qualifications of an EMT:

    + Valid New York State EMT-Basic certification required

    + New York State Driver's License preferred

    + Any and all other requirements for the position as determined by the New York State Department of Health or other regulating agency or statute

     

    Duties & Responsibilities of an EMT

     

    + Provides basic life support (BLS) in compliance with city, state and organizational procedures

    + Be friendly, helpful, and professional throughout all interactions with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public

    + Must be able to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs or more

    + Maintain a clean and fully stocked ambulance per NYS DOH requirements, restocking supplies at the end of each shift

    *Employment is contingent upon a background check and pre-employment drug screen*
