Requirements / Qualifications

Basic Functions: Organizes and instructs students in reading and/or language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, health, physical education, art, music, and other assigned areas of the curriculum, utilizing the course of study adopted by the Board of Trustees. Promotes close working relationships with staff, students and parents. Teacher is under the direct supervision of the site principal or designee. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Education Required: • Bachelor’s Degree • Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with a Supplemental Authorization in Social Science or Single Subject Teaching Credential in Social Science; Or Single Subject Teaching Credential in Social Science and English • EL Authorization or equivalent Experience: • One year of successful teaching experience in an education setting is preferred.
