Job Brief:

Join the Finance and Regulatory Reporting Shared Services Delivery Squad as Senior Data Analyst within Enterprise Data and Information Services (EDIS). Be part of a team that is focused on building robust enterprise data pipelines to support reporting, analytics, and business insights that drive critical business decisions. The Senior Data Analyst will be primarily responsible for data mapping, required to deliver vital information to the consumer population for multiple data assets.

Responsiblities:

• Own the attribution mapping details for data elements from the source systems to the target data assets and Finance and Regulatory Reporting specific data solutions including, but not limited to data marts, integration layer, extracts, hierarchies, and point-to-point solutions to support Data Supply Chain assets.

• Provide data mapping details on the attributes required including vital information on how source system data will be transformed and stored in the target destination, including leveraging metadata to provide insight into the source system data.

• Provide all the business rules, transformation logic, derived column expressions, SQL, etc. to build mapping documents.

• Independently translate business requirements to detailed mapping documents, develop and unit test datasets by building maintainable code to accelerate delivery through reusability.

• Be an influencer with other resources in KTOS including Data Architects, Developers and Enterprise Testers to help drive design, and develop and test based on the requirements given.

• Be an influencer with Lines of Business. including Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts to make sure business requirements are clear, concise and vetted, and translate those requirements into technical mapping documents.

• Be able to perform peer code reviews and contribute to Mapping and Data Architecture Review Sessions.

• Provide status and estimates of work to Project Managers and Management.

• Embrace mentorship and provide training for less experienced business and data analysts.

• Provide input into Data Models and Entity Relationship Diagrams and use those documents to build efficient SQL.

• Assess the technical viability of new and emerging data solutions providing design guidance, technical recommendations, performance optimization, and development insights.

• Contribute to technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts for developing data solutions.

• Adhere to and identify standards and best practices to be extended within the DSC.

• Give input into Data Models and Entity Relationship Diagrams and use those documents to build efficient SQL.

• Create and enhance context diagrams for data solutions to maintain auditability.

• Gain knowledge of portfolio planning, project prioritization, and remediation planning activities.

• Have strong knowledge of Risk Management practices associated with Financial Institutions and financial data.

Required Qualifications:

+ 8+ years of data analytics experience, or equivalent military/work experience.

+ Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Experience in Google Cloud Platform, notable Big Query.

+ Experience programming in Python, SAS and SQL.

+ Experience in AbInitio or AbInitio SpecToGraph.

+ Experience with Agile Methodologies, Jira, Confluence.

+ Extensive experience analyzing and interpreting business data, leveraging various techniques including automation, for data quality validations.

Education:

Master’s Degree and 5+ years data analytics experience, bachelor’s degree
